Paper Folding of the 5 Platonic Solids

To paper fold each Platonic solids is to examine each characteristics:
  • How many faces are there?
  • What kind of polygons does each faces represents?
  • How many faces that meet at a certain vertex?
5 Platonic Solids:
  1. Tetrahedron - It has 5 (equilateral triangle) faces.
  2. Octahedron - It has 8 (equilateral triangle) faces.
  3. Icosahedron - It has 20 (equilateral triangle) faces.
  4. Hexahedron - It has 4 (square) faces. It is also called as the Cube.
  5. Dodecahedron - It has 12 (pentagon) faces.
Procedure:
  1. Fold  equilateral triangles in each corresponding polyhedron.
  2. Fold connectors to join two or more triangles.
  3. Search the pattern of each solids.
  4. Glue or paste them according to each kind.
