Study in Japan

Japan is one of the interesting country to visit, study, work and live. People all over the world come to Japan every year.

Did you know that Japan offers great scholarship programs? There are plenty from public and private company. Below are some of the famous programs that you might like to consider:
  1. Japanese Government Scholarship Program (Monbukagakusho). Courses offered: Teacher-training, Japanese Studies, Undergraduate, Research, Professional Training School and College of Technology.
  2. Asian Youth Fellowship. Courses offered: Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering and Natural Sciences EXCEPT Japanese Studies or Japanese Culture Studies
  3. Young Leaders Program. Courses offered : Business Administration, Law and School of Government.
Some courses varies depending on your country. Check the Japanese embassy or consular office in your country. Use the Internet to find the website and contact information.

Tips:
  1. Assess your self. Always read all the requirements before applying. Did you meet all the requirements such as number of years of formal education, age, work experience for Teacher's Traning, Masteral, Doctoral, Post Doctoral, etc.
  2. Visit the consulate's library. Ask for the Scholarship guidelines as well as the list of univerties. Don't choose the most famous university. Consider the volume of applicants and you are not likely to be chosen.
  3. Write your Outline of study program well, if applicable. Contact formers scholars for some tips.
  4. Do not take Japanese classes. Some scholarships does not require nihongo skills. That is why you need to read carefully the guidelines. There are courses that has Nihongo class while in Japan.
